Tim & Light

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by!
This week I have been juggling a few projects, two of them for the upcoming Bologna Book Fair (I'm basically taking a break to write this post from the scary mountain of work I have to do for next week...it's looking at me very ominously...I may placate it with treats...), but one little side-project I HAVE completed is a poster for the brilliant play 'Tim & Light', which is put together and performed by Tucked in Productions.

I saw the play a few weeks ago, which is all done with incredibly designed puppets and masks, (and a great set designed by my friend Lorna Killin), and let me tell you, it was fantastic. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it, and it has been garnering some pretty impressive reviews, so it was great to be able to be a part of it all with my little poster. I know it's going on tour around the UK this summer, including some major festivals (and when I say major, I mean MAJOR...), so if you're in the neighbourhood, give it a look see! If you can. Of course. I'm sure their website will keep you posted on the tour dates as and when they get them.
As per usual, thanks so much for looking at this blog, and I'll post some more work soon! Adios, amigos!

This is fantastic! I love the whole feel of it...the composition, the playful line work, the colours AND the STRIPES. Stripes are the best. And I'm in love with the cat. It looks very professional too :) and oozes that 'Coraline-esque-concept-art' feel! Wonderful stuff :D

Thank you soooomuch, Lil, that's very kind of you :) Stripes, stripes, stripes, if in question about an illustration, stripes are usually the remedy to sooth such nagging doubts. I dedicate the stripes to you! Heh. But seriously, thanks a lot. :) No, no really.

Wow, sounds like a really interesting play with the puppets 7 stuuf, I will keep an eye out.
Great poster too.
The combination of your poster image, and the thought of puppets and masks are very exciting :)
